Benn knocks Algieri out in the fourth

Undefeated welterweight Conor "The Destroyer" Benn (20-0, 13 KOs) scored a convincing fourth round victory over 37-year-old former world champion Chris Algieri (25-4, 9 KOs) in the main event of the evening at the M&S Bank arena in Liverpool.

Benn was able to send Algieri to the floor in the second round, and in the fourth round sent him to a deep knockout at 2:58.

Undisputed welterweight champion Katie Taylor (20-0, 6 KOs) successfully defended her WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO belts against the WBA Mandatory Challenger Firuza Sharipova (14-2, 8 KOs). The scores were 98-92, 97-92 and 96-93.
