John Kavanagh, permanent coach of the ex-UFC champion in two weight classes Conor McGregor, named the potential rivals with whom his ward may meet after returning to the octagon.

“Frankly, the Nate Diaz trilogy looks very tempting. He exerts pressure throughout the fight. So this is very interesting. However, there is also Tony Ferguson. I believe he still has a lot to offer in this sport. He's a very unconventional puncher and grappler. Fans would love this fight.

"There is also Dan Hooker. A duel with Islam Makhachev would be incredible. Conor can also meet with the winner of the fight Charles Oliveira and Dustin Poirier. It will be a great fight with any of these guys," said Kavanagh on The MMA Hour.

In July McGregor lost by technical knockout to Dustin Poirier, breaking his leg in the first round.
