Former UFC welterweight contender Colby Covington spoke about a possible transfer to the lightweight division.
“I will not go down to lightweight. Losing so many pounds is bad for your health. Removing all the water from the brain, dehydrating the body is a bad idea. I think about my future. I am not a cheat, I do not use steroids. Heavy weight lifting destroys your body and wastes years of your life. And these guys think that by gaining weight after weighing in, they will get stronger. But this is a myth," Covington said.
In his last fight, Covington lost to Kamaru Usman on points.
