John Kavanagh, the coach of the former UFC champion in two weight divisions Conora McGregor, spoke about a possible fight between his fighter and the fifth-ranked lightweight Islam Makhachev.

“Whoever Conor meets will be extremely motivated. Conor has enough money in his bank account, so the financial component is not a motivating factor for him. His motivation is to compete and improve his fighting skills. Personally, I think Islam is a fantastic fighter. He is different from Khabib - he has a different physique, a different set of skills, and it would be interesting to see how our fight with him goes. It would be a great fight," Kavanagh said.
