Murat Gassiev gets the name of his next opponent

Former cruiserweight champion Murat Gassiev (28-1, 21 KOs) on December 25 in Sochi will hold a duel with a Ukrainian Andrey Rudenko (34-5, 20 KOs), said the promoter Aleksey Avsetsin.

"Murat Gassiev on December 25 in Sochi will fight Andrey Rudenko for the IBF Intercontinental belt," the promoter said.

In October 2020, 28-year-old Gassiev made his heavyweight debut and scored two victories since: knocking out Nuri Seferi and Michael Wallisch.

Rudenko, 38, had his last fight on July 30, winning by unanimous decision over Andrea Pesche.
