Mikaela Mayer (16-0, 5 KOs) won by unanimous decision over Maiva Hamadoush (22-1, 18 KOs) in the main event of the evening in Las Vegas. The American thus unified the IBF and WBO featherweight titles.
The fight from the first gong was high tempo. The Frenchwoman put pressure on the American, but more strikes came from Mayer, who boxed from the defense.
After ten rounds, the judges favored Mayer with scores of 98-92, 99-91 and 100-90. Next year, Mayer looks to get a unification fight with WBC champion Terry Harper.
