Chimaev will have another fight this year

UFC president Dana White has assured that rising welterweight star Hamzat Chimaev will definitely have another fight in 2021.

"Yes, we will see Chimaev again this year. Negotiations for his next fight are close to being finalized.

I don't know if Hamzat is ready for a title fight. He just broke into the top 10 by defeating the No. 11 ranked fighter in the division. It's quite different when you move up to the top 10 and start fighting top 5 and above. He's one or two fights away from a title fight," MMA Fighting quoted White as saying.

Recall, Chimaev defeated Lee Jingling in the first round by choke at UFC 267 on October 30.
