Saunders: "Alvarez can be beaten, Plant has everything to do it"

Billy Joe Saunders, the last opponent of Saul Alvarez (56-1-2, 38 KOs), backed Caleb Plant (21-0, 12 KOs) ahead of Saturday's bout with the Mexican.

"Canelo is not undefeated at all," said the Englishman, who came out of his Alvarez fight with a serious cheekbone injury. "I think Plant is a good boxer, he just needs to keep Alvarez under constant pressure, I think he can give Canelo a good fight."

"Canelo is world elite, but Plant has what it takes to get him in trouble. He needs to keep his distance, work hard in the first six rounds and then finish hard," Saunders advised the American.
