Canelo plans four fights next year

Saul Alvarez (56-1-2, 38 KOs) said he will fight four professional fights next year. The fighter had a similar plan this year but a protracted negotiations with Caleb Plant (21-0, 12 KOs) led to the postponement of the fights from early September to November 6.

The WBA, WBO, WBC and IBF super-middleweight titles are on the line against the American. It is not out of the question that in the next year Canelo will try his hand at featherweight again, where he has appeared only once so far.

In 2022 Alvarez is expected to fight in February, May, September and December. It is possible that one of these fights will be a trilogy with Gennady Golovkin, but the boxer from Kazakhstan has yet to agree to that fight at 76 kilograms.
