Haney vs. Diaz on December 4 for the WBC title

On December 4 Devin Haney (26-0, 15 KOs) will fight Joseph Diaz (32-1-1, 15 KOs). The boxers have decided the terms of the bout, which could be officially confirmed in the coming days.

Haney is the WBC lightweight champion. Diaz has the interim belt in the same weight class. Diaz initially didn't want to face Haney, but Eddie Hearn offered him a purse of more than $1.5 million.

Haney last fought in May, winning on points over Jorge Linares. Prior to that, the California boxer defeated Yuriorkis Gamboa. Diaz defeated Javier Fortuna in his last appearance.
