Former Bellator middleweight champion Andrey Koreshkov commented on the cancellation of his fight with Rustam Khabilov, stressing that he expects to fight his compatriot in the future.
"Our fight with Rustam Khabilov has been cancelled and removed from the Bellator 269 tournament. Unfortunately, Rustam got sick and won't be able to fight! I wish you a speedy recovery, Rustam. I believe that our fight was at least equal in interest to the main event of this tournament, and for many it was the most interesting and long-awaited!
"A great job was done! I want to thank all of our guys for their help in preparation! My coach, Alexander Shlemenko, for his well-planned preparation, well-structured training process, individual approach, support, and much more! I still have a desire to fight Rustam, and I'm sure it will be interesting for the fans," wrote Koreshkov on Instagram.
