Arlovski: "I beat Emelianenko three and a half minutes"

Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski recalled his defeat in the fight with Fedor Emelianenko.

"I already told you what happened then. At the time I signed with Golden Boy for a potential fight with Klitschko. Freddie Roach had, well, if not champions, then top five heavyweight boxers in his gym. I sparred with them. Not that I beat them, but I gave them a fight. So I did not worry about my boxing. Before the fight with Fedor, I beat Rothwell, who was half a head, if not a head above me. When I pushed him against the ropes, I made a jump, hit him with a knee and won the fight. I was starin' in the sky. Thought my Thai boxing was good and I could hit with my knees. That's it. Three and a half minutes I was beating Emelianenko. I got his hands and feet. Then I jumped with a knee, didn't close - and that was it, the light went out. Arrivederci," Arlovski said.
