Former Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko commented on Oleksandr Usyk's victory over Anthony Joshua in the fight for the IBF, WBO, WBA heavyweight titles.
"Very happy for Alexander! The best impressions of the fight! I thought it would be like this. To win it preliminarily, Joshua won't get a chance, he's much bigger than Alexander. But Alexander overpowered him with his speed, technique, class, despite the cut and missed punches. He really deservedly won that fight. Usyk worked in the face, constantly shifting, constantly stepping in behind his front leg. It's classic boxing. Plus, he had a lot of approach on feints and dodges. It seemed to me that Usyk was faster. He was able to get into striking distance. He was more accurate, faster and in the end he won.
Alexander is now one of the most titled boxers in the history of boxing. He has collected almost every belt. At the moment he is deservedly the best boxer, for which he can only be congratulated," said Shlemenko.
