Legendary Russian heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko shared his memories of his victory over Andrei Arlovski in 2009. The Belarusian repeatedly called that knockout "accidental" and challenged Emelianenko for a rematch.
"I don't react in any way to what Arlovski said. He went at me, I read that and reacted. He went down. It's a long practice of hitting in pairs and on the bags, standing and lying down. It all adds up to one. Hence the finishing action. I feel the same way about my defeats: it means my opponent has worked that element out," Emelianenko said.
Emelianenko's next fight will be against American Timothy Johnson on October 23 at Bellator tournament in Moscow.
