Abdullayev and Tishchenko scores wins on points

At a boxing night in Ekaterinburg Evgeny Tishchenko (9-1, 6 KOs) defeated Dmitry Kudryashov (24-5, 23 KOs) by unanimous decision, winning the WBC International cruiserweight belt. Kudryashov was down in the first round. The judges' scores were 99-90, 100-89 and 100-89.

For Tishchenko, who is a Rio 2016 Olympic gold medalist, tonight's win was a successful return to the ring after losing in the WBC Eliminator to Tabiso Mchunu.

Also that night, Zaur Abdullayev (14-1, 8 KOs) defeated former WBC champion Dejan Zlatichanin (24-3, 16 KOs) by unanimous decision to win the vacant WBC silver title. The scorecards were 118-110, 119-109 and 117-111.
