Hearn: "Joshua looks great in preparation"

Anthony Joshua

IBF, WBA and WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (24-1, 22 KOs) will fight WBO mandatory challenger Alexander Usik (18-0, 13 KOs), the former heavyweight king, on September 25 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in ...

"Joshua doesn't look small. He still looks like a giant. Honestly, he looks like the perfect fighter. His legs are big, strong and fast. With legs like that, he's never had a problem with weight loss. The difference in his training in recent years has been that Joshua has switched from working with weights to practicing his boxing skills. Now he's sparring more, spending more time in the ring, pawing or bagging," Hearn said.

"AJ used to be extremely explosive, but after his tank ran out of fuel, there were often problems. When he fought Dillian Whyte, Charles Martin and Wladimir Klitschko, he didn't really know what he was doing in the ring," the Brit's promoter added.

"He was just a big, strong and tough guy with a good boxing background. Now he's more versatile and understands the sport. That makes it a lot harder to beat him," summed up the head of promoter Matchroom.
