Oscar Valdez

If Valdez is found to have banned substances during that time, the boxer will be suspended indefinitely by the World Boxing Council and lose his super featherweight title. The WBC will also monitor the Mexican's weight and how he gains it before the fight.

In the first half of August, a test showed the presence of phentermine in Valdez' sample. The boxer's team claims the substance was accidentally ingested through herbal tea. Valdez will return to the ring on September 10 when he crosses gloves with Robson Conceicao (16-0, 8 KOs).
