Sirenko: "Usyk doesn't have the same punching power as Povetkin"

Ukrainian heavyweight prospect Vladislav Sirenko, who once sparred with Oleksandr Usyk, argues that it's not right to speak of his star compatriot's complete lack of punching power. At the same time, Sirenko noted that Usyk does not punch as hard as Russian Alexander Povetkin, with whom he also sparred.

"A man who weighs more than 100 kilograms and who has a fairly well trained punch cannot, in principle, hit easy. But there is a point that everyone is given something by nature. Take Povetkin, for example. He may not have any stamina, but he has a very strong punch. In comparison with Povetkin, Usyk may not have that power, but he has competitive advantages, which are absent in other sportsmen - agility, endurance, mobility.

"Naturally, if you say that he can't punch, it would be untrue, because a man who weighs more than 100 kg can punch," Sirenko said.
