All in all, it couldn't have been otherwise, as Alejandro de la Torre with a 2-11, 2 KO record came up against him. But at one point, Molina's health began to be feared for when, early in the second round, the heavy Mexican loomed over Molina as he leaned on the ropes and the ring structure failed. The ropes tore and they both flew out of the ring. The fight was interrupted for several minutes. When the players returned to the fight, it was literally over within a minute. Molina landed a powerful punch on his opponent and recorded an "early victory" to his credit.
Molina is a two-time world heavyweight title challenger. He lost to Deontay Wilder (TKO 9) and Anthony Joshua (TKO 3).
