Former WBC cruiserweight champion Grigory Drozd talked about his expectations of the fight of WBA/WBO/IBF heavyweight titleholder Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk.

"I give quite a lot of chances to Usyk. It's going to be 50-50. I think it's quite possible that the odds are in favor of Joshua due to some reasons. But I absolutely do not rule out a win for Alexander. He is seriously preparing for this fight. Sasha always distinguished himself by correctly and adequately estimating his opponents while preparing to fights. I am sure that functionally he will be ready for two fights at once.

"It's a matter of size, but also of speed. This is a very interesting fight. In terms of intrigue, it's probably the best fight of the last year. And we all remember what happened between Joshua and Andy Ruiz. But I don't think he will allow himself to be underestimated again. He's focused as much as possible

"Usyk's victory will not be a sensation. But it will be a new iconic story. Usyk reminds me of Evander Holyfield, who was once given almost no chance in the heavyweight division, but in the end he proved to the world that the cruiserweight can also win belts and become a star in the heavyweight division," Drozd said.

Joshua vs Usyk fight will take place on September 25 at Tottenham Hotspur Arena in London.
