"I told you I was the WBA champion and I showed it tonight," said Yordenis Ugas after defating by unanimous decision boxing legend Manny Pacquiao in Saturday night's main event in Las Vegas. "The emotions are just overwhelming me right now. A lot of people say that Cubans aren't capable of winning big fights. So I'm very proud to win for Cuba and prove what we can do."
"Me and my coach Ismael Salas had a plan. We were going to move around a lot; we were going to use a jab and get him off balance. That was our plan for the fight. I was going to work a lot with my right, I was going to use it against Manny. He kept coming in, so I kept using him," Ugas added.
"In the future, you may not see Manny Pacquiao in the ring anymore. I don't know. Let me rest first, relax and decide if I'm going to keep fighting or not," Manny Pacquiao said after the fight when asked if he was going to end his career at 42.
