Mikey Garcia returns on September 18 in Los Angeles

On September 18 at Matchroom Boxing night in Los Angeles, former four weight class world champion Mikey Garcia (40-1, 30 KOs) will have his next professional fight. It was recently reported that preliminary negotiations are underway for a contract to fight Regis Prograis (26-1, 22 KOs), but boxing fans will likely have to wait a bit for that fight.

33-year-old Garcia will return to the ring after more than a year hiatus. The American, who was also set to fight Manny Pacquiao months ago, last fought in February previous year.

Garcia will face a duel with a less demanding opponent in September. Later, the American's team will focus again on negotiations with Prograis's representatives.
