Canelo vs Plant officially for four belts on November 6

It has been officially confirmed that Saul Alvarez (56-1-2, 38 KOs) and Caleb Plant (21-0, 12 KOs) have agreed to terms for a 168-pound unification fight. The bout for the super middleweight undisputed championship will take place on November 6 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. If this bout determines the winner, he will become the first-ever undisputed super middleweight champion. The Mexican's promoter Canelo Promotions will be the key organizer of the meeting.

Negotiations between Canelo and the American continued throughout the summer, but no agreement was reached on an initial date. The fight was scheduled for September 18. Alvarez demanded that the contract contain a clause that would guarantee that the September fight date would be kept in case of Plant's injury and that it would not reduce his purse. That clause in the contract eventually blocked the contact signing.

This time, a compromise was reached on the issue. The financial terms previously agreed upon will be retained. The Mexican will be guaranteed a career high of $40 million. The American's earnings in turn will exceed $10 million.

The stakes for Alvarez vs Plant are the WBC, WBO, WBA, IBF and The Ring belts.
