Former Bellator middleweight champion Alexander Shlemenko said he would like a rematch with current belt holder Gegard Mousasi. The Russian also made it clear that he is ready to perform at the Bellator tournament in Moscow on October 23.

"Of course we met Scott Coker. We haven't seen each other for two years - great meeting. A return to Bellator? I think it's possible. I'm not ruling anything out right now. I'm so nostalgic right now. When I came here (to Andrei Koreshkov's fight in the United States) and saw Gegard Mousasi with the belt, I wanted to fight him again.

"I would have fought with great pleasure in Moscow, because I believe I was the one who discovered Bellator for the Russian audience. And it would be natural if the first fighter would fight at the first tournament. But if it doesn't work out, that's OK. If it works out - great," Shlemenko said in an interview with Alexander Lutikov.

In October 2017 Shlemenko lost to Mousasi by unanimous decision.
