Oliveira comments on Poirier's victory over McGregor

UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira commented on the outcome of the Dustin Poirier vs. Conor McGregor fight on July 10 at UFC 264.

At the end of the first round, McGregor suffered a broken leg and was unable to continue the fight. Poirier was awarded with the victory by TKO.

"It is sad. We never want fighters to lose like that, but it happens, so I congratulate Poirier. This is MMA, our sport is unpredictable. We never know what might happen. The fight with Dustin should have taken place a long time ago, so if it happens, I'm ready,” Oliveira said in an interview with Megan Olivi.

Earlier the head of the UFC Dana White has repeatedly stressed that the next rival of Oliveira will be the winner of the meeting Poirier vs McGregor.
