Avsaragova: Ferguson gave up morally, he needs to end his career

Bellator fighter Diana Avsaragova thinks that the former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson should hang up his gloves. The American lost to Beneil Dariush by unanimous decision on May 16 at UFC 262. This defeat was the third in a row for the 37-year-old El Cucuy.

“He frankly gave up mentally. Three defeats in a row hurt him. There is no that fire in him. Khabib was right that at Tony's age it is difficult to fight at high level. He lost to all the tops. Some say that he could have defeated Nurmagomedov, but this is a very strange statement. He had no chance. I think he needs to end his career as soon as possible. He was calculated, his style is known, nothing will come of it. But the spirit cannot be taken away from him. This guy is not giving up," Avsaragova said.
