Legendary former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva wrote words of encouragement to former rival Chris Weidman, who broke his leg in a fight with Uriah Hall at UFC 261.

“I am deeply and sincerely worried about you, champion. Believe in yourself, I wish you a speedy recovery. To you and your family - light, love and strength. To the fans of this sport, let's support this incredible warrior and wish him a 100% recovery soon. God bless you and your family, Chris,” the Brazilian wrote on Instagram.

Silva received the same injury in a duel with Weidman in December 2013, after which he was recovering for more than a year.
