Egis Klimas, the manager of the former undisputed cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Usyk does not exclude that the Ukrainian boxer can try his hand at the UFC.
Earlier, Usyk said that he received an offer from the head of the UFC, Dana White, to try himself in mixed martial arts, to which the boxer responded with his willingness to consider the offer. Usyk is a mandatory WBO heavyweight contender, with title holder Anthony Joshua's side in talks with WBC belt holder Tyson Fury.
“Regarding Usyk, we are negotiating with the WBO. I think they will act honestly and give us a fight with Joshua. We hope so. If Joshua is going to fight Fury, then Joe Joyce. Usyk's statement about the UFC? It's not for me to go to the UFC. But Sasha is Sasha. Perhaps this will come true. Who knows,” Klimas said.
