Andy Ruiz Jr. (33-1, 22 KOs) will have his first fight since losing the championship belts to Anthony Joshua on May 1 when he crosses gloves with Chris Arreola (38-6-1, 33 KOs). For several months, the Mexican trained with the new coach Eddie Reinoso, and, as he himself claims, the training brought very tangible results.
“I had to lose about 40 pounds. After defeating Joshua, I weighed 310 pounds. I was depressed, angry with myself, because I knew that I had to train," The Destroyer said.
"I already had everything - the belts, but I lost them because I decided that I would win anyway... I am ready to return them," said Andy Ruiz Jr., who, if he wins could meet Deontay Wilder in the future.
