UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov admitted that he is still motivated by a possible fight with the legendary former champion of the promotion in two divisions George St. Pierre. However the Russian no longer wants to translate this idea into reality due to the age of the Canadian, who will celebrate his 40th birthday in May.

“Name any UFC fighter - no name intrigues or turns me on. But when I hear the name of George St. Pierre, I want to get up and run 10 kilometers.

"Charles Oliveira - there is no market, but it does not start. Michael Chandler came in and won, but we saw how many times he was knocked out. Doesn't turn on. Dos Anjos, Gaethje, Poirier, McGregor - all former champions, passed all of them. Nobody turns on. But when you say Saint-Pierre - it really turns on. But he is already 40 years old, let's not touch him anymore. We like him. He is the right representative of mixed martial arts,” Khabib said in an interview with Magomed Ismailov.
