Manuel Charr's (31-4, 17 KOs) team is of the opinion that the fight for the "regular" WBA heavyweight title with Trevor Bryan (20-0, 14 KOs), scheduled for Friday in Florida, will not take place due to the fault of the American promoter Don King.

The duel will not officially take place because Charr came to the United States on a tourist visa without being able to obtain a P1 visa suitable for athletes. However, there is evidence that the Diamond Boy did not receive the relevant document because Don King did not sign a contract for the fight that would justify the issuance of a P1 visa for Charr.

The Charr team also claims to have flown to the United States at their own expense, although fighters are usually paid for by promoters. Charr also underwent doping control at his own expense before this fight.

According to the latest reports, King still wants to organize Friday night of boxing, but Bryan will now face his colleague Bermane Stiverne (25-4-1, 21 KOs) instead of Charr. The famous promoter has petitioned the WBA for the world belt, which is now owned by Charr, to be on stake for the meeting of Bryan and Stiverne, and that Charr, according to King's plan, will be downgraded to the status of the champion 'in recess'.

The World Boxing Association recently announced that if Bryan and Charr do not cross gloves by the end of January, they will both lose their belts.
