Frank Sanchez is another candidate for WBO title

The group willing to fight Alexander Usyk (18-0, 13 KOs) for the WBO heavyweight belt is expanding if the World Boxing Organization World Champion's trophy leaves the hands of Anthony Joshua (24-1, 21 KOs).

At the moment, Joe Joyce (12-0, 11 KOs) is the first in line for a duel with the Ukrainian, Joseph Parker (27-2, 21 KO) also hopes for his chance. And now the seventh number in the ranking, Frank Sanchez (17-0, 13 KOs), announced his title ambitions.

“Frank defended the NABO belt three times, while the top fighters have not fought for over a year, and Pulev lost his last fight. If the WBO belt becomes vacant in early 2021 following a contract for a fight of Fury and Joshua, Frank will be in an excellent position to challenge the title,” said Mike Borao, the manager of the Cuban.

The current WBO heavyweight rankings is as follows: 1. Alexander Usyk, 2. Joe Joyce, 3. Joseph Parker, 4. Kubrat Pulev, 5. Andy Ruiz Jr, 6. Junior Fa, 7. Frank Sanchez.
