Charr vs Bryan for the WBA title on January 29?

WBA heavyweight belt owner Manuel Charr (31-4, 17 KOs) and WBA interim champion Trevor Bryan (20-0, 14 KOs) are scheduled to fight on January 29 in Hollywood, Florida.

At the moment, it is unknown if the fight will actually take place - it is only reliable that Bryan's promoter Don King asked the Florida State Athletic Commission to authorize the event. Recently, the authorities of the World Boxing Association issued a press release in which they announced January 29 as the deadline for the Charr vs Bryan fight, threatening their champions to take their championship titles away.

Another showdown in the Royal Division will take place during the January tournament: Bermane Stiverne (25-4-1, 21 KOs) will face Christopher Lovejoy (19-0, 19 KOs). In addition, Beibut Shumenov (18-2, 12 KOs) will defend his WBA cruiserweight belt, crossing gloves with Rafael Murphy (14-1, 11 KOs).
