Evgeny Tishchenko, who won the Olympic gold medal in Rio de Janeiro, defeated John McCallum (12-2, 0 KOs) by TKO in the second round to secure the vacant WBO European Cruiserweight title.
Heavyweight Romanov, who stopped Deontay Wilder in amateurs, also spent less than two rounds to deal with former WBO champion Sergei Lyakhovich (27-9, 17 KO). At stake there was the WBO Global belt.
