If Anthony Joshua chooses a fight against Tyson Fury next year and misses the mandatory defense against Oleksandr Usyk (18-0, 13 KOs), the Ukrainian is likely to fight for the vacant WBO Heavyweight Championship. At the moment, his opponent may be Daniel Dubois (15-0, 14 KOs), who is in second place in the ranking.

However, before this 23-year-old London Dynamite will have a very serious test. His rival on November 28 will be Olympic runner-up in Rio, possibly slow but big and strong, Joe Joyce (11-0, 10 KOs). The best of these two will receive the vacant belt of the European heavyweight champion, and later can fight Usyk for the world title according to the World Boxing Organization.

ā€œWho would I like to meet after the fight with Joyce? Of course, Usyk, especially if it was a fight for the title of world champion. Big money, big bet, big stakes. If I beat Joyce, the Usyk fight would be the next great step in my career. I would not mind this scenario,ā€ said Dubois (WBO #2).

Dubois performed only once this year. At the end of August, he stopped Ricardo Snijders (18-2, 8 KOs) in the second round .
