Eddie Hearn does not exclude that the next opponent of Anthony Joshua (23-1, 21 KOs) could be Alexander Usyk (18-0, 13 KOs). This fight could take place in the spring of 2021 in the UK.

The British promoter emphasizes that his priority remains to organize a fight for the title of undisputed heavyweight champion with Tyson Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs). However, Hearn does not rule out that it may be difficult to reach an agreement with Fury, and this meeting may be postponed. In this case, Joshua will cross gloves with Usyk.

“We have to consider all possibilities. In the meantime, we have a fight against Kubrat Pulev ahead, which will take place on December 12 in London. Only after the final bell will we be able to think about the future. However, we have several options,” Hearn said.

Usyk is the official contender for the WBO heavyweight title now that belongs to Joshua. The Briton also has WBA and IBF championship belts.
