Joseph Parker vs Junior Fa is in works for December in New Zealand

British promotion Matchroom Boxing's first night in New Zealand will take place in December. In the main event, former heavyweight champion Joseph Parker (27-2, 21 KOs) will face Junior Fa (19-0, 10 KOs).

In the spring, it was assumed that another Parker fight would take place in August in New Zealand, where the authorities successfully coped with the coronavirus epidemic. But in the end, the event did not take place. Parker, 28, has been in talks with law officials for weeks about his next fight.

The former WBO champion last fought in February when he knocked out Shondell Winters in the fifth. The 30-year-old Fa's last fight had last November.
