Wallin beats Kaufman, Benavides wins

Otto Wallin (21-1, 13 KOs) defeated Travis Kauffman (32-4, 23 KOs) by TKO in Round 5 at the Premier Boxing Champions boxing night in Uncasville. Thus, the Swede has successfully returned to the ring after last year's defeat to Tyson Fury.

The American tried to quickly impose his style of fighting on the opponent, but Wallin successfully repelled the offensive attempts of his opponent and seized the advantage. The Swede worked hard on the body, depriving the opponent of his strength. In the fifth round, Kaufman hit his opponent on the elbow with his left glove and got injured. From that moment on, the American began boxing with his left hand down and turned into an easy target for his opponent.

Wallin struck a right hook to the jaw and a left hook to the body. The referee, seeing Kaufman's physical problems and very limited defensive capabilities, decided to stop the fight.

In the main event of the evening, David Benavides (23-0, 20 KOs) defeated Roamer Angulo (26-1, 22 KOs) by TKO after the tenth round. Despite his victory, Benavidez failed to retain his WBC super middleweight title. At the weigh-in ceremony, the American title was declared vacant, as Benavides did not meet the weight limit.
