In the main event of the evening in London at the television studio of the BT Sport 1 channel, the silver medalist of the 2016 Olympic Games and the undefeated pro Joe Joyce (11-0, 10 KOs) of UK stopped Michael Wallisch (20-4, 13 KOs) of Germany in the third round.
At the end of the second round Wallisch was on the floor after a right hand to the body and subsequent blows to the head, but was able to get up and survive till the end of the round. At the beginning of the third round, Wallisch again had to kneel down, get up in order to miss another two punches to the body and to the head, and again found himself on the floor. The referee in the ring John Lewis decided that the German boxer had enough and stopped the fight at 0:57.
In the next fight at the end of October, Joyce will have to face the winner of Daniel Dubois vs Eric Pfeiffer fight.
