Top Rank promotion has received permission from the Nevada State Athletic Commission to host their first series of boxing events in Las Vegas. Soon, Bob Arum's company will begin testing for coronavirus all participants of their events scheduled for June 9 and 11.
Each fighter's team will pass tests in separate places. Results will have to wait up to 6 hours. During this time, the boxer and his coaches will remain isolated. If the test is negative, the boxer and team will be delivered to a hotel in Las Vegas.
All participants in the evening, including ring card girls, ESPN commentators and journalists who want to work in the ringside, will be tested for coronavirus. The organizers will also be checked. A positive test will exclude the possibility of participating in the event.
“In recent weeks, we have been working on a safety protocol for boxing tournaments and have developed rules that everyone can use now. We must unite at this difficult moment to put boxing on its feet,” Bob Arum commented.
