Lopez and Lomachenko should meet in a duel for all lightweight titles, probably in September. Previously, they were persuaded to conduct "interim battles" with other rivals, but both refused.

“My son is a hungry lion. He punches as hard as the best representatives of the light middleweight. We look forward to the fight against Lomachenko, because this is our chance to unite all four championship belts. We want to do this for the first time in history, because no one else has four lightweight belts. Pernell Whitaker once had three, when the WBO belt was practically not counted. We will not only capture four belts, but also jump to first place in the P4P ranking. And this is only the beginning of our journey,” Teofimo Lopez Sr announced.

“We have already firmly settled in Lomachenko’s head, because he is constantly reporting something. He knows that his time is coming to an end. After some time, people will remember him not for his Olympic gold medals, but because of my son whooping his ass,” Lopez Sr. added.
