Eddie Hearn shared fresh plans for organizing first boxing events since the start of the coronavirus pandemic. Head of Matchroom Boxing intends to organize four evenings in July at his family estate in Brentwood, Essex. The ring will be installed in the garden, and the entire service team and fighters will be accommodated a few days before the fight in a nearby hotel.
“We do not want to return to boxing evenings in dark studios. Our tournaments were brilliant, sexy, and dramatic. It was about creating tension before the fight, and now we can’t show what the game will look like,” Hearn explained his choice of venue.
The main events of the first July boxing nights in Brentwood will be the confrontation of Natasha Jonas (9-1, 7 KOs) and Terry Harper (10-0, 5 KOs) and the fight of Alexander Povetkin (35-2-1, 24 KOs) against Dillian White (27-1, 18 KOs).
