Victor Ortiz (32-6-3, 25 KOs) has not entered the ring for more than two years, but recently expressed a desire to return and regain a world title. The hard-hitting southpaw from California did not perform after a draw in a fight with Devon Alexander.

“I was my own enemy and rival. Sometimes I stood in my way, but this is already behind. I am returning to regain a world title. I have not said the last word,” Victor Ortiz said and added that he will try to seek advice from Floyd Mayweather, who defeated him, and who recently said that he wants to become a coach. But in his corner Ortiz sees Freddie Roach.

“I liked acting in movies, but in the end it’s not for me, so I’m coming back. I do not mind taking the advice of such a great boxer as Floyd. Some things kept me from the ring for two years, but I never left boxing. Together with Freddie Roach, we will return to the top,” the 33-year-old boxer said.
