Dillian Whyte (26-1, 18 KOs) announces his willingness to fight WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs). Theoretically, the “King of the Gypsies” in his next fight should meet Deontay Wilder (42-1-1, 41 KOs), but due to the coronavirus pandemic, meetings of boxers from different continents are currently impossible.
“Why don't we meet? He says a lot of nonsense, but I don’t want to talk a lot, I just want to fight,” Whyte said to Sky Sports. Whyte is a mandatory contender for the WBC title and should get his chance for a champion fight by the end of February 2021.
“Let's just have a fight. Once he told Wilder the same thing: it's just a fight, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. This is just a bout. Why can't he meet me instead of waiting for Wilder to recover?” Whyte said.
It was originally planned that the third fight of Fury-Wilder will take place on July 18, later October was mentioned in this context, today they are talking about November or December.
