The COVID-19 virus took another person from the world of boxing. Three days ago it became known about the death of Eddie Cotton, one of the best referees in the world. Now the death of Ali Salaam, father and coach of Tony Harrison (28-3, 21 KOs) has been confirmed.

Ali Salaam passed away at the age of 59, as it was confirmed by his son, a former WBC light middleweight champion. Salaam was the son of Henry Hank, who successfully boxed in the 50s, 60s and 70s.

“You was in a tough fight and you went the distance. The decision just didn’t go our way, but we was together every step of the way. What more could I ask! My right hand forever. Get some rest, pops. It ain’t goodbye. Just see you later!” Harrison wrote about the death of his father.
