American debut of Tony Yoka will be postponed

2016 Olympic heavyweight champion Tony Yoka (7-0, 6 KOs) will have to wait his American debut. The Frenchman was going to fight on March 14 in New York, but in the end his performance was canceled.

For 27-year-old Frenchman, who last fought in September stopping Michael Wallisch, it also had to be debut under the banner of Top Rank. Yoka has recently signed a contract with promoter Bob Arum.

The next performance of the boxer from France was delayed because of new promoters having troubles finding a suitable opponent. According to unofficial statements, the budget allocated to the opponent of Yoka did not exceed 40 thousand dollars.
