John Skipper of DAZN platform met with Saul Alvarez (53-1-2, 36 KOs) to discuss plans for the Mexican on this year. Canelo can hold three fights this season.
The Mexican returns to the ring on May 2 in Las Vegas. His opponent is likely to be WBO Super Middleweight Champion Billy Joe Saunders (29-0, 14 KOs). Duel has not been confirmed officially yet, but the negotiations are close to end.
DAZN representatives would like Alvarez to fight against Gennady Golovkin (40-1-1, 35 KO) on September 12. Their first fight ended as a draw, and the Mexican won in the rematch. Prior to that, the fighter from Kazakhstan should fight Kamil Szeremeta. This fight is tentatively scheduled for June.
It is possible that in December Canelo will come out in the ring again. At the end of the year he can have a duel against Ryota Murata (16-2, 13 KOs). Fight against the Japanese could take place in the spring, but in the end the clash was postponed.
