Former world heavyweight champion Charles Martin (27-2-1, 24 KOs) had previously worked with trainer Jeff Mayweather, but to the next, very important fight for him, will be preparing under the guidance of Manny Robles, until recently the coach of Andy Ruiz Jr.

On 22 February in Las Vegas on the evening of boxing Wilder vs Fury II Charles Martin will meet Gerald Washington (20-3-1, 13 KO). For both of them it will be a semi-final eliminator for the IBF title.

Prince Charles after the defeat to Adam Kownacki had two victories over easy rivals. Less than two weeks later the task will be much harder for hom. And Robles, who just broke up with Ruiz, is in a hurry to help the American.

"This victory will bring me to the next fight for the world title. I'll be a two-time world champion. I'll be in great shape when I get on a fight with Washington and knocked out is sure to come. I am ready to fight all twelve rounds. I'm ready to fight any opponent," Martin said, who has changed his training camp and moved to southern California just for the sake of training with Robles.
