Former super middleweight champion Gilberto Ramirez (40-0, 26 KOs) is not satisfied with the cooperation with the American company of Bob Arum Top Rank. The Mexican wants to terminate his contract and bind his future career with Matchroom Boxing of Eddie Hearn.

Recently, information has appeared that Ramirez will participate in the qualifying tournament, and the winner will receive WBO light heavyweight title. This title was recently left vacant by Saul Alvarez.

In the tournament Ramirez must first cross gloves with Eleider Álvarez. If he wins in the next fight the Mexican will face the winner of Umar Salamov vs Maxim Vlasov battle.

Ramirez has not fought since April last year, when he beat Tommy Karpency. It was the debut for the 28-year-old Mexican in the light heavyweights.
