WBC and IBF welterweight champion Errol Spence, Jr. (26-0, 21 KOs) announced on social networks, that he intends to return to the ring in the summer of 2020. For Spence this should be the first fight after a car accident, which occurred in early October.
29-year-old Spence lost control in his sports car, which rolled over several times, and Spence was thrown from it. As it turned out later, the boxer was driving intoxicated.
Before the accident, Spence was going to return to the ring on January 25, and his opponent was going to be Danny Garcia. Current physical condition does not allow Spence to get back in the ring so early. Fortunately, according to media reports, Spence in his car accident escaped serious injuries.
Spence had two fights this year. In March he defeated Mikey Garcia on points, and in September, after a hard fight the judges decided that he was better than Shawn Porter.
